Guess what.
For the past 8 months, my team and I have been working non-stop to create a solution to preventing food waste at home and coming up with a method to help you save money on groceries.
The average family throws away $150 worth of food every month – either produce that spoils or leftovers that don’t get eaten.
I was guilty of it. In fact, I probably threw away DOUBLE that amount every month, just because I was shopping in bulk or cooking because there was nothing else to do during a pandemic. I was tossing away so much food.
I learned to become more intentional with the food I purchase, how it’s stored, and how I meal plan. Over the months, I came up with ways to detox my kitchen, starting with my refrigerator, and learning how to meal plan starting with the food I already had in the kitchen.
Our method is what we called REVERSE MEAL PLANNING.
Our recipes start with the food you already have in the fridge, freezer and pantry (I know you have a lot of food already! Let’s use it up!)
Don’t you hate digging into your refrigerator and pulling out something that has spoiled? Or tossing away leftovers because nobody touched them?
How about opening up the freezer and find expensive foods that have freezer burn? Or remembering if you have a specific ingredient in the pantry?
Well, now have a solution to tackle these problems.
Our goal is to help you save money and prevent food waste.
The book is a practical, useful guide. It’s 170 pages long, with printable worksheets, step-by-step guides and 134 recipes….and soooooo many beautiful color photographs to inspire you to eat healthy, save money on groceries and give new life to leftovers.
